About INCAS³

INCAS³ was formed in 2008 on the initiative of the Province of Drenthe, the Municipality of Assen and the Foundation Sensor Universe to create a bridge between basic knowledge and the practical applicability of sensor systems. INCAS³ is an independent, non-profit research institute capable of quickly and flexibly responding to sensor technology demands from science and industry. The research is carried out on its premises in Assen by doctoral students, postdocs, and senior scientists in combination with a team of excellent engineers.

Job Description

As a practical and hands on communications officer you will be responsible for communications in the SmartBot project. Within SmartBot 23 German and Dutch industrial and academic partners collaborate to develop and demonstrate multi-sensor robotic platforms in the maritime, industrial and agricultural sectors.
Specific tasks are:

Development and implementation of the communication strategy
Maintenance of the bilingual website
Writing and distribution of press releases and organizing press conferences
Organizing large scale Dutch-German events

Candidate Profile

Bachelor/Master degree in communication
Minimum of 3 year experience in a comparable function
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, German and Dutch
Autonomous, strong creativity and effective problem solving skills
Proven ability to work effectively in international collaborations
Affinity with technology is preferable

Working Conditions

Appointment: 0.3 fte
Remuneration: Salary scale 9 according to Collective Labor Agreement of the Dutch Universities
Contract: One-year contract with the possibility of extension
Location: Assen, The Netherlands
