The Readout Engine (ROE) is an user-friendly device which captures and digitize short episodes from a voltage signal source. The signals are continuously sampled at 100MHz, but data is only stored when an event is triggered. It can record from two sources either independently or in a master-slave fashion. Recorded traces are transferred to the computer through a USB2 connection for display and storage. A program for controlling and evaluating the signals is also provided. The ROE is designed specifically for capturing signals from photomultiplier-tubes.
